Valentine’s Day 2018

IMG_0215

This was Reed’s first Valentine’s Day and he was super cute in his “Mommy’s Heartbreaker” shirt.

This was Mollie’s first time to need a Valentine’s box for school.  We had a lot of fun making a princess castle.  She cut everything herself and it turned out awesome!

I got to go to her Valentine’s Day Party at school.  It was a little crazy, as all Pre-K parties are, but it was fun.  I love seeing her interact with all her school friends.

She came home with way too much candy… but a huge smile!

Nate and I didn’t forget about each other either…. I am so grateful to have him as My Love!

Valentine’s Day 2017

IMG_6290IMG_6291

This was the first year that Mollie got to give out and receive valentines.  She absolutely loved it!  She puts her hands over her heart and says, “aren’t these just so sweet!”  She had a great time at MDO and plans to keep her valentines “forever and ever.”

Of course she got a surprise on Valentine’s Day morning too.  I just love seeing that smile.

Valentine’s Day 2016

It is so fun to have a sweet girl to surprise with little gifts on days like this… days we set aside to celebrate love.  I am extremely grateful to have so much love in my life!

When we went to the store to get her friends a treat, she picked out this giant gummy hotdog for herself.

And, she got to have some fun with her pal Duncan Joe.  Mollie loves spending Thursdays with him, and Melissa.  She is such a sweet friend that I will treasure for the rest of my life…. So selfless and giving.  Nate and I have been beyond grateful that she has taken such great care of our girl for us.

And, then Valentine’s Day was on a Sunday, so I made our little family of three match.  I only get to do it on holidays.

Valentine’s Day 2012

I love love!  It is truly the best thing on this earth.  I am constantly blown away by the great love Nate and I share.  We are blessed to love so deeply and I wouldn’t want to do life with anyone else.  We are together basically all day every day working together and I love that too!

2.14.12 011

With each passing year Nate and I can look back on big things that happened in our life, and see God’s providence.  He used to say that there isn’t just one person in the world that any one person can be happily married to, but now he agrees that God had us planned for each other from the beginning.  So sweet and so true.  We have been married for 6 1/2 years now, after dating for 5 1/2 years, and we have made it through things most couples will never have to go through.  And, we can make it through because of each other.

Nate was especially stressed this Valentine’s Day 2012 with the sell of our house in Rogers, so I decided to surprise him with a little scavenger hunt.

It was funny to watch him go to every room in our house… I may have made it a little long. ha

In the end this is what he found…

2.14.12 008 New Kurig Coffee Machine. Yay!  Every time he would see one in a store, he would stop and stare at it for like 20 min. so I knew he really wanted it.

It was worth every penny to see him smile like that :)

2.14.12 009   We finished the day with some good ol heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy’s.  It was delish.2.14.12 012 Sig

Tale As Old As Time...

For Valentine's Day this year we went to see the Broadway play of Beauty and the Beast. It was so great! I almost cried at the end. It was definitely my favorite play to date. It was like a dream come true to see my favorite childhood movie come to life. I mean doesn't the above picture just make you want to say, "Ahhhh."

This is us before we left for the show.
We started dating in March of 2001, so I guess 2011 was our 10th Valentine's Day together, and we couldn't be happier. I am so blessed to have my Nate. We fall more in love everyday, and God is continually showing us how we are meant for each other.
