Lunch with Someone "Grand"

November 15, 2018

Mollie had a great time with Grandma and Grandmama & Granddaddy during "Lunch with Someone Grand".  (Papa was away hunting.... as he always is in November)  She always loves showing off her school.  They got to have a quick lunch together before checking out the book fair and playing on the playground.
She is a very blessed little girl to have such wonderful grandparents that love her so much!

Mollie’s Kindergarten School Pic

September 6, 2018

5 1/2 Years Old

MollieKinder

Mollie is very opinionated about how she fixes her hair and what she wears these days.  She settled for this sparkly purple shirt and let me fix her hair so we could see how long it it…. definitely does not want to cut her hair or wear bows.

She is just the sweetest and we are so super proud of her.  Those rainbow nails and fake smile make my heart skip a beat.  I will love this picture forever!

Mollie’s Last Day of Pre-K

June 1, 2018

Skyview Elementary, Yukon

Pre-K with Mrs. Simpson and Mrs. Rhodes

IMG_0887I can’t even deal with her growing up so stinkin’ fast!  She was excited for summer but will definitely miss all her friends and her teachers.  Mrs. Simpson and Mrs. Rhodes were THE. BEST!  I cried about leaving them. haha.  It is helpful to know that she is going back to the same school and that Mollie gets to play soccer with Mrs. Simpson’s daughter this fall… Yay!

Mollie had a great year and just excelled in everything.  She is so smart and we are so proud!  She grew 1.5” and gained 5 pounds this school year and decided she wants to be a teacher.

Whatever makes you happy, baby girl.  Just like your shirt says, “Follow Your Dreams!”

Mornings with Mom and Field Day

I got to spend a lot of time at Mollie’s school recently.  May 11 was “Mornings with Mom” and we had donuts together.  She was very excited to have me there and I was very happy to be there.  We found Raegan and her mom, April, and she didn’t talk to me after that. ha

We were sad to find out that Raegan is moving, but we assured them they can still facetime.  Also, they were too cute carrying the snacks to their class.

Then May 30 was Field Day and I got to go help out all day!  It was extremely hot but I loved being there and watching her interact with all her friends.

Mollie, I love you more than you can possibly understand!  Sometimes it’s hard to let you go to school every day because I just miss you that much.  But, you love it!  You are super organized and always have something to say.  You are an excellent student and your teachers talk about how well you listen.  You seem to be a natural leader, as a lot of the kids in your class look up to you.  I can’t wait to continue to watch you grow and blossom in all grades.  Pre-K down…. 18 more to go!

Mollie’s Got Spirit

Our sweet girl.  She is just the best…. She is completely organized and knows exactly where she wants everything to go.  She is also already very particular about what she wears…. I’m already praying about the teenage years.

For Dr.Suess week at her school they had different days and she loved it!

Dress as what you want to be when you grow up:

She chose a teacher…. Melt me.  She was too funny in her little glasses with her little nametag.  Her teacher this year, Mrs. Simpson, has been the absolute best.  She is definitely an answered prayer and I love how much Mollie loves her!

Taken September 7, 2017

Mollie-Pre-KWe can’t believe our sweet girl has started school.  This is her precious Pre-K school pic.  I want to always remember her sweet baby hairs, how she always licks under her bottom lip and how she smiles so hard her eyes are almost closed.  Just love her soooooo much!

Mollie’s First Day of Pre-K

August 17, 2017

Skyview Elementary, Yukon

Oh my gravy…. how did this day come soooo fast!  We can’t believe that Mollie is in school all day, every day.  I have been dreading this, praying and gearing myself up all summer.  What was I going to do without my girl?  She was also such a great helper with Reed being so little.  We knew that she was ready… and that was affirmed even more when she marched right into her class and settled in without shedding a tear.

The night before, her teachers had given us some fun “Ready Confetti” to sprinkle under her pillow.  Through tears, I read her the cute little poem and off to bed she went.  Nate made such fun of me but his time was coming…

I made sure to get everyone up extra early for mandatory first day pictures.

IMG_2890IMG_2892IMG_2893IMG_2894IMG_2895IMG_7887IMG_7888IMG_7889

My heart was bursting and I had a lump in my throat the whole time.  Everyone says that time goes even faster when they start school, and now I know they are right.  Nate and I are so very proud of our big girl and love her soooo much.

Like I said before, Mollie was fine at drop off.  I had a few tears… but Daddy couldn’t stop crying.  He had not prepared like I had, and now we had just left our baby with strangers, in a new place and it was weird.  There was no way we were making it to the tour after drop off…. we basically ran out of there, wiping our eyes all the way to the car.

The next day went a little better:

Your dad and I are your biggest fans!  Go change the world, baby girl.  This is our prayer for you this school year:

“Keep your eyes open, Hold tight to your convictions, Give it all you’ve got, Be resolute, and Love without stopping” 1 Cor. 16:13-14

Keep your eyes open…. make sure you are seeing the people around you.  Obey and respect your teachers, and look for opportunities to befriend your classmates.

Hold tight to your convictions…. you know what’s right and what’s wrong.  You know when others are hurt or confused.  Don’t ever make someone feel bad.  Remember what we’ve taught you and remember what God has already put in your sweet little tender heart.

Give it all you’ve got…. At whatever you’re doing in class, do it right.  And, do it to the best of your ability.  We know you can do it all!

Be resolute…. Lead.  Don’t be a follower and do things just because others are.

Love without stopping… We see your kind heart.  Show your class.

Mollie’s Last Day of Mother’s Day Out

IMG_6831

This year of Mother’s Day Out has been the absolute best!  Mollie has loved every single day.  She asked us every night… “How many more sleeps til school?”

Her teachers were just precious and we are so grateful for all the hard work they put into her class and giving her the individual attention she needs.  It was so sad to see it end… but we know that she will love Pre-K!

She grew so much!  From 39.5 lbs to 43.6 lbs. and from 41” to 43.5”

She learned to write and color so well.  She learned how to make good friends and emerged as a leader… even though she was the youngest in her class.  She got to play on a firetruck, meet lots of new animals, learn songs and life lessons.  Her teachers said she was always comforting anyone that was upset…. and telling stories about her “older sister”???  She really loved Donuts with Dad and Muffins with Mom, and we loved it too!

Her teachers, Mrs. Teresa and Mrs. Lisa had this to say about our sweet Mollie Girl: “Mollie has such a great sense of who she is and how to speak her mind in a kind way.  She has a skill in verbally summing up a situation that is both precious and valuable.  We are so thankful she got to be in our class!  The kids all gravitate to her and if she was gone they truly missed her.  She is definitely a leader and an absolute joy to know.”

IMG_6832

We are already so proud of you, Mollie Grace!  Even though we are super sad to see you grow up so fast, we look forward to each new chapter.  We know that you will love your new school and excel there as well.  We are so grateful for your sweet spirit and kind heart for others.  We pray you always keep that up.

Love,

Mommy & Daddy

Mollie’s MDO Pictures

March 22, 2017

IMG_9261IMG_9264IMG_9265IMG_9301
She has absolutely loved this year at Mother’s Day Out.  Everyday she asks us “how many more sleeps until school?”  It is going to be a hard transition for her to go from this very comfortable small class to a large school, but we know she will love Pre-K when she gets used to it.
Mollie was the youngest one in her class, but nobody noticed.  Her teachers sing her praises every time we pick her up.  She is very smart and has learned so much this year!  Some funny stories we heard:  She would line everyone up and tell them where they could play on the playground… and they listened.  She would make up stories about her older sister all the time.  She loved being the line leader and sitting in the special chair.  She still remembers the two days she missed class… once for 4 year old shots and once for our Tulsa weekend trip.  And, she colored at least one paper every class.

You are beautiful inside and out, sweet girl!  Dream big and go conquer the world!  We will be behind you every step of the way.  We know that you will love “school” and learning new things!
