Super fun month full of birthdays!  Mollie played more soccer and decorated her turkey like a "Caticorn" player.  She also had some awesome birthday donuts and a magical party!  Reed continued to grow and play.... so cute!  We got some unexpected snow on my birthday, so that was a fun treat!  And we put up our Christmas tree and went through the lights while school was still out for Thanksgiving break!

Thanksgiving 2018

Thanksgiving was definitely different for us this year, not going down to Texas.  We were missing Mamaw and Papaw something awful and there was a definitely a silent mourning happening.

We were able to spend Thanksgiving at my parents house for the first time since we were married.  It was goooood food and great time with family.  Reed especially enjoyed the mashed potatoes. 
The next day we were able to be with Grandmama and Granddaddy... and even took a little hay ride.  We were a little itchy and sneezy, but nobody complained.

 

 
 

 

Thanksgiving 2017

Reed’s very first Thanksgiving!  It was so fun to be a family of four this year.  And, for the first time in like 17 years we didn’t have to drive down to Mamaw and Papaw’s.  The drive was not missed… but we sure missed going to their house and spending time with them.  This was our first holiday without Papaw, so it was probably good to have it in Oklahoma… Somewhere different to distract us.  Overall, it was fun to have all the Texas family up here for a change.

We ate, played some games, and Granddaddy set up quite the contraption for Avery’s piñata. 

Something else different this year… We got to celebrate with my side of the family, since we weren’t in Texas.  It was good to see everyone and get some precious pictures with Nana and Papa.  Nana sure loves those babies.

Thanksgiving 2016

Thanksgiving came and went very quickly this year.  I was still struggling with pregnancy sickness so the being away from home was not too fun.  But we made it to Mamaw and Papaw’s and got to see everyone.  We went for a walk, had some good food, and stayed the night.  Mollie got to sleep on the fold out couch while we slept in the bedroom.  The next morning we said our goodbyes, but this is always the easy one…. because we will be back for Christmas in a few short weeks!

Thanksgiving 2016

We went down to Mawmaw and Papaw’s for Thanksgiving.  It is always good to see them.  We also got to meet Nate’s cousin’s new baby, Jude.  It was Mollie’s real birthday during our trip so she got to blow out three (big) candles with her breakfast biscuit.

Then when we got back home we celebrated with the whole Bacon family at Grandma and Papa’s house.  Always some rough housin’ going on there…
