You get cuter and cuter every day! This month Mom and Dad left you for the first time to go to Disciple Now with the youth. It was only two nights, but it felt like a lot longer. You also went to your first craft show, saw your first snow, and wore your first pair of jeans. You went to see Brendan and Landry play basketball and everyone ooo’d and ahh’d.
As a youth pastor’s wife, I have been on countless trips. Crash Weekends, Disciple Nows, Summer Camps, Mission Trips…. When we lived in Rogers it was double time because we had middle school and high school everything.
This particular one, was a little different. It was my first time leaving Mollie… for any time at all. It’s just a weekend thing, so that made it better. I drove my own car so I could leave early, but it was still nerve-wrecking leaving my little baby. She was with my mom, so I didn’t worry one minute about her…. I just worried about my mom. ha
I made it just fine and Nate and I even enjoyed sleeping through the night ;) I was pumping every three hours and putting my milk in the fridge so she would have plenty when we got home. It is good to have time away but I’m not sure I’ll do it again when my next kid is this little. Who knows?
