October 2018

We had a very eventful October.  It started out with a trip to the ER for Nate.  He was having some chest pain and needed to get checked out.  Turns out he is having some severe anxiety from some post traumatic stress.  He took the entire month off from work and got a lot of time to relax and de-stress.

Mollie kept us busy… with soccer, cheer clinic (I want to wear that sweet button every day) and Halloween.  And Reed is just the sweetest little guy there ever was.  He is saying a lot of things, like: Momma, Daddy, Sissy, Co Co (for Claire), Papa, Thank you, I love you.  He tells everyone we see “hi” in the sweetest little pure voice, and then “bye, see ya” in his loudest almost yelling voice.

We loved going to Branson over Fall Break (pictures HERE) and celebrating with all the Halloween things (pictures HERE).

Mollie and Reed love the movie “The Greatest Showman".  We watch it most nights for about 10 minutes before bed.  So… Mollie decided she would be the acrobat, Anne Wheeler, from the movie.  It is a win win, because she can use her costume as a leotard at gymnastics now.  She was so excited about it!  Originally we wanted Reed to be a lion, because he is really good a growling and roaring these days… but we ended up with a cute little monkey.

Nate and I bought some fun onesies for the youth Halloween party.  A Daddy Shark and a rainbow unicorn.

Grandma and Nana Lue came up to see us.  Mollie loved showing off her costume and little Halloween house.

I rocked my first party as Homeroom Mom.  I think the kids liked all our centers.

And, then Mollie went trick or treating for the first time ever.  It was definitely a fun night.  She ended up with 125 pieces of candy…. none of which she has eaten yet.

Fall Break Trip to Branson

October 17-18, 2018

On a whim, I googled Branson, MO and found an awesome deal!  So, we took Mollie out of school a day early and ventured out.  It was an awesome time together.  We enjoyed every part of our little adventure, never leaving the hotel.  Nate and I were super proud of ourselves spending a whole $4 the whole trip because we were using all our stored up giftcards.

We just might go back every Fall Break!

We only had to stop once on the drive to and from.  Mollie and Reed were into their movies hard core.  When we checked in we were upgraded to the Clubhouse King Room…. aweseomeness number one.  It was the best room ever and Mollie loved sleeping on the top bunk and watching her very own little TV.

We went swimming, went to the indoor waterpark, played some glow-in-the-dark putt putt, ate free pizza, went to the arcade and then met Mollie’s bestie, Kinley, for some dinner at Cracker Barrell (we had a gift card).

On the way back to the hotel, Mollie threw up skittles into James’ hands…. that was incredibly embarrassing and crazy.  Super thankful for the Arnold’s and their friendship.  I pretty much trust them with Mollie’s life now.  Who does that for someone else’s kid?

Then Mollie, Kinley and Kayden played some indoor putt putt.  Then we went to see a show and stayed up late.  Reed sat threw an entire hour of it so that was awesome!

Man, we are so super blessed!  I love my little family so much.

Thank you Lord, how could I ask for more.
