December 2013

My plan is to update once and a while and especially when when we do big events.  This month Mollie took her last bottle on December 6, and started making animal sounds on December 24.  She is getting cuter everyday, and our love for her just grows and grows.

We also went to Nana and Papa’s 50th wedding anniversary party at Union Hill.  It was great to see everyone and celebrate my sweet grandparents.

Christmas 2013

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!  We always decorate our house and then take Mollie to see Santa.  Last year she was brand new, and looked oh so tiny in Santa’s arms.  This year, she wasn’t too sure about the whole process.  It didn’t help that I took her snack cup away right before the picture either.  It turned out ok….

We got to spend some time with our families, and that is always good.  First up, we went to Grandma and Papa’s house.  Aunt Kim got Mollie a big present… and Landry got some giant boxing gloves.  I didn’t do a good job taking pictures this year…. I guess I was too busy chasing my one year old.

Next, Nate’s family came over so we could go see the Christmas lights.  It was fun to have three little matching girls.

Next, I had fun taking Mollie’s pics at church… In her Christmas dress and with her friend Duncan.

And, finally we celebrated with our little family of three.  Mollie got a fun “anywhere chair” and a doll for Christmas.  She loved our Christmas tree.  And I had a little fun of my own with a gingerbread house.

Mollie’s One Year Pics

I love sweet pictures of my girl!  Here are her one year pics!  Purple is her signature color and since her birthday is so close to Christmas…. we went ahead with a poofy red dress.

Thanksgiving 2013

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays.  I love the month on November… I love fall… I love family… And I love food.  This was Mollie’s first Thanksgiving.  In 2012 she was born just after Thanksgiving and this year her birthday was before, so she went an entire year without a Thanksgiving.

Grandma made a sweet little turkey shirt for her and we went down to Mamaw and Papaw’s to celebrate with our Texas family.  By this time Mollie was trying to walk and into everything.  She enjoyed chewing on some old thread spools of Mamaw’s.

Mollie’s First Birthday!

October 26 – November 26, 2013

DSC02820Oh my goodness… I can’t believe that our sweet girl is a whole year old.  Time really does fly!

Mollie Grace, this month you celebrated your first Halloween (dressed as Princess Leia), Had your last formula bottle and started drinking milk. On November 7, you got your first ear infection and took your first antibiotic.  We were thrilled you made it so long without one… both your parents have bad ears.  On Halloween you took 12 steps at Nana and Papa Bill’s house, and by November 11 you were walking!  We celebrated your first birthday on November 16, a few days early.  And, on November 21, you met your new cousin Avery. Oh… and this month, you tried your first bite of Chick-fil-a chicken…. Daddy was proud.
