A Little Time Away
July 19-23
We’ve decided it is just silly to spend a bunch of time and money on family vacations when you have a one year old. Especially a one year old that absolutely does not like to sleep away from his bed. But, we did definitely need some time away… So went went down to see Mamaw. (When we saw her, we did not have a good feeling and the next day she went into the hospital with pneumonia.) She was as fun as always… cracking jokes, eating a big hamburger and reading poems to us. And, of course her and Mollie looked through all the pages she colored.
Then we ventured over to a part of Dallas neither of us had ever been to and went to the Galleria Mall. It was huge and we walked all around… We left with a build-a-bear and an outfit from Justice.
We ate some interesting pizza and lots of ice cream! And of course, swam in the hotel pools a lot…. Mollie’s favorite thing ever.
When we got home, we still had a day of vacation left so we went to Incredible Pizza. That place never disappoints. Mollie and Reed loved it!

Labor Day Trip
September 1-2
Since Mollie was out of school, we decided to scoot on down to see Mamaw and Papaw over the weekend. We knew that Papaw was getting worse and definitely wanted to see him…. Sadly, after we saw him, we knew it would be our last time this side of Heaven.
We had fun with Mamaw… going to Dairy Queen and introducing her to Reed. Mollie loved looking at all her pictures she had colored and I’m pretty sure we came home with a folder full.
And as always, she loved staying in the hotel.
