Highlights Include: Going to see Nana and Papa, Puppy purse at church, Walking to the splash pad, Falls Creek and seeing Garrett, Hanna’s Wedding, Father’s Day, Movie Date to see Finding Dory, Going to work with Mom and Dad, Engage Block Party, and VBS.
This Father’s Day was a little different. We went straight from Falls Creek to Rogers, AR for a wedding. We didn’t want to miss Hanna’s big day.
So Mollie and I planned ahead and had Nate’s gift ready….. Father’s Day was the Sunday after Falls Creek, Family Reunion, and the Arkansas wedding. (Talk about a crazy few weeks.) We were happy to start a new saving account for all his truck dreams and excited to give it to him after weeks of waiting.
Nate got to swim with his girl first thing in the morning, enjoy some new coffee, and drive home. But he didn’t mind of course…. because he is the greatest!
There isn’t a wife and daughter that love their husband and daddy more. We love you so much, babe!
Falls Creek is something we always look forward to! This year, we had the largest group we’ve ever had and it was amazing. I am now totally comfortable with my roll as Mollie’s mom…. there’s no where else I’d want to be… So I took a step back this week and stayed in the new lodge with Mollie instead of upstairs with the girls. It was different, but good! I enjoyed all our time together and also the clean shower.
Grandmamma came and got Mollie for a night and she had a blast with Aubrey and Avery. And, I got some unexpected time with my youth girls. But, I was glad when I got my girl back.
Nate led selflessly and boldly, like always. He is such a strong, humble, wise man and I love watching him lead. We were able to strengthen good relationships and see a few decisions for Christ! Can’t beat that!
We were going to Waco for a family wedding and decided to make the most of it. First stop, was to see Mamaw and Papaw. They are so dear to us and we wish we could see them more often. Mollie always has a good time…. and Mamaw always has ice cream and candy.
Next stop was Magnolia Farms in Waco! We are big fans of Fixer Upper, and loved getting to see this place. It was cute personified…. just darling. I wanted to buy all of the things, but my wallet didn’t. You better believe I got some magnets and a t-shirt though.
Then we got to drive around Waco for a bit. And Mollie got her first taste of In-N-Out Burger.
Next, we had to check out the hotel pool.
And lastly, it was off to David’s wedding. Nate was happy to be a groomsmen and Mollie and I were happy to be there to watch. It was super country cute and we are so happy for them!
