A Little Lamp Magic…

I have been in a crafty mood lately, so thought I would show you my new lamp shade.  I think lamps can add a lot of character to a room…  I am a little disappointed at how much this simple staple to a room can take out of your bank account, so I still don’t have the lamps that I imagine in my head.  Who in their right mind is going to shell out $200 for a lamp???

 

Anyway, this transformation was simple.  Coffee filters are my new best friend.

To make your own invention… Just fold each coffee filter in half.  Then fold two more times…. and fold the pointed end down so you will have something to put the glue on.

Then… 350 coffee filters later you may have something like this….

I’ll admit, in this picture it kind of looks like one giant coffee filter, but in real life I love it.  It adds a little fluffy chic romance to our room :)

I was introduced to this song last Sunday and the words have been in my heart ever since.  Music has a way of moving us sometimes, and I feel like these words are truly the cry of my heart right now.  This is my prayer and my hope for myself and our church.

Meet my friend, Hanna Lew.

She asked me to blog about her, so here goes.

What do I think about, when I think about Hanna?  She is...

...a little piece of sunshine... a beauty on the inside and out... a role model... always willing to help... a hard worker... a little crazy sometimes, but always fun... passionate... a germ-a-phobe... clean and neat... going to be a great teacher... a people person... a sweet southern girl... always making other people feel comfortable... stinkin hilarious... my friend...

She always puts a smile on my face and I miss her greatly!  We have had some pretty great times together through the years, and as we both grow older I know those good times will continue.  Hanna and her family are some of my favorite people in the world.....

Proverbs 16:9

1. God sees and knows our steps
