Nate and I rarely take vacations just us, but it is something we would like to start doing more. Especially now with Mollie, we want to give her memories of special trips with her mom and dad. This time, we just needed to get away for a while. Nate hadn’t been back to Houston since he moved in 1999, he hadn’t been to the Astro’s new ball park, and I had always wanted to see where he grew up, so we packed our bags…. a lot of them being our first trip with a baby… and headed south.
First stop… food.
Second stop… Minute Maid Park in downtown Houston. Check another one off the list!
Next, we drove around where Nate grew up and he showed me his schools, old church, and his old house.
We had a good time in the hotels too.
It was a great trip for sure. Mollie did great in the car and Nate and I enjoyed every minute of being with each other.
