Easter 2015
Easter is quickly becoming one of my favorite holidays. The older I get, the more I realize how important this day is as a Christian. Jesus is who sets me apart. Jesus is who died for my sins on a cross. And Jesus is the One that raised from the dead three days later. He is alive right now and that alone sets Him apart from all the other little “g” gods out there. And that alone sets me apart as a believer. Praise Him!
It is also becoming more fun because Mollie absolutely loves it! She loves eggs. She loves hunting eggs and we love watching her. We all love that we get to see family. And bonus, Nate lets me buy matching outfits for all three of us.
This year, I made her a little basket of goodies and she loooooved the “Resurrection Eggs.” We played with them and talked about Jesus every day. (I am writing this post in July and we are actually still playing with them consistently…. The girl loves eggs) I am already excited to see how much more she understands next year.
But this year, the festivities began at Grandmama and Granddaddy’s.
We also went to an egg hunt at one of our city parks. It was a lot of fun for a whole five seconds….because the whole town of Yukon was there
Next was Easter Sunday at church. It was colder than anticipated, but still super fun. Mollie was matching with her BFF, Hope. This was the biggest egg hunt we went to and when all the other kids were done, Mollie was still running around picking up eggs left and right.
And lastly, we had more fun at Grandma and Papa’s house. This egg hunt was color coded and in the barn because of the abnormal temp outside. Mollie had fun finding all her pretty pink and purple eggs. And it was our first family get together with Henry so it was sweet to have a tiny baby there.
