Big 12 Baseball Tournament 2014
Always a good time for baseball. My dad hooked us up with tickets again this year, and Nate took advantage of every session. We watched a lot of baseball this weekend. Nate looooves it…. and I think Mollie looooves it too. She has already sat through a lot of baseball in her life ;)

Ears ~ Mollie’s Surgery
Nate and I both have horrible ears. Growing up we had too many ear infections to count and both had two sets of tubes. We were surprised that Mollie didn’t have as many issues…. Until she got her first ear infection in November 2013. From there, we just couldn’t get her poor little ears to heal. She had three ear infections in less than four months, so they sent us to the ENT. I was still hopeful that her ears would be clear, but nope…. She was headed for surgery.
May 21, 2014. It was a really fast procedure and the doctor and anesthesiologist were the nicest. It is just scary to hand your baby to anyone… especially when they are going to put her to sleep and cut into her ear drum. But by the time I texted my parents and went to the bathroom, she was in recovery.
Everything went great, and since then her ears have been great too.

Mother’s Day 2014
May 11, 2014
I loooove being a mother. The only thing I ever wanted to be was a wife and mother. That is why anniversaries and Mother’s days are THE BEST! I feel so very fortunate to be a mother…. To have had the experience of being pregnant and bringing a baby into the world… And to get to take care of our precious Mollie girl.
I love you with every breath, sweet girl. I’m so thankful to be your Mom!

DC Trip ~ May 2014 ~ Part 3
The next day we ventured over to the National Zoo. It was basically in Georgetown. Iooove that part of DC. If we were to ever live there, that would definitely be the place. It is beautiful and historic and reminded me a little bit of New York…. except the buildings were shorter and there was a lot less people.
We had some fun in the hotel pool also. The picture below made me have a flash back to her first time swimming in Chicago. She didn’t like it too much either time, but it was fun.
We checked out the Spy Museum. It was cool but I don’t know if it was worth the $50. On our way to the white house, it started raining again.
On our way back to Virginia, dad dropped Nate and I off at the Lincoln Memorial so Nate could go trace a name at the WWII Memorial. We had to try and get our finger on the Washington monument….. fail.
Our last night of vacation, we went to a Sho Gun type place. Mollie enjoyed the show and it was hilarious watching my dad and Scott eat Chinese food.
I also forgot to document that Mollie had her first ice cream cone in Gettysburg. We had a great trip!
DC Trip ~ May 2014 ~ Part 2
We walked around a lot…. Not as much as the time before, but still a lot. Our little stroller worked hard. Next, was the Supreme Court. We didn’t wait for a tour but saw enough. And Mollie walked down every step.
We walked on over to the National Botanical Gardens after eating some fabulous bar-b-que pizza. Mollie took a nap in her stroller the whole time.
That night, we caught a Nationals baseball game. Nate got to check another field off the list and it was a great night…. until it started raining really hard. The game was delayed for like four hours so we caught the subway and all got soaked. Good memories ;)
