This was a super trip! Someone says they have free lodging for us and we come. Wherever, whenever…. we like to travel and see new things. Late Wednesday night us two couples loaded up our three kids in a huge rented thing and drove to Chicago.
I cannot put into words how much it means to us to have Zack and Hollie in our lives. They have been the best friends I have ever had and I love them like family. We take care of each other (and the kids) and I wouldn’t really consider driving across the country with anyone else.
We made it just fine… Mollie didn’t like all the time in the car, but it was ok. We got to check two major league baseball fields off our list and see the bean! And we ate some thick pizza, went to the top of the Willis Tower, spent too much time and money at the aquarium, had a fast dinner at the navy pier, and took a good walk around the city. It was a great way to celebrate Hollie’s 30th birthday too.
Mollie caught a virus while there, so we also saw the emergency room at a small town outside of Chi town. She didn’t sleep much, so we took the days pretty easy. She started crawling on a golf green at the condos and went swimming for the first time. She liked it as long as Daddy wasn’t too far away.
Nate’s full face at Giordanno’s and sweet sleeping babes.
Wrigley was Nate’s favorite ball park so far. He LOVED it! My mom made Hope and Mollie matching dresses. That was super cute! Good times for sure….
The bean! That was probably my favorite part. That thing is awesome.
Top of the Willis Tower. See through floors…. Couldn’t look down for very long.
We found Yogi Bear on our date night. And didn’t have to stand in line at the aquarium because we had strollers.
Aquarium, Navy Pier, and more Baseball (we got to boo A-Rod). And there is 100 more pictures where these came from ;)
