Mollie’s birthday was on a Sunday this year… She woke up to streamers on her door and the birthday tablecloth. She got to pick where we ate lunch so McDonald’s it was.
The next day, we took her “birthday snack” to school. They were some pretty awesome donuts. She loved it!
Now onto the party…. If you are around our girl for any length of time, she will most likely bring up her birthday. She loves it so much! She literally talks about it every single day. The girl loves to have a party and get presents…. So we had reservations set and invitations sent. The night before her party she started to get sick and at 3am that morning everyone besides Reed was throwing up like crazy. The stomach virus hit us hard and we had to cancel the party. It was heartbreaking, so of course we found a new location and made it happen a couple weeks after originally planned.
The theme was Shopkins… because she is obsessed with these little things. We had lots of fun friends from school come to play with us at Dynamo Gymnastics and it was a great time.
Grandma made an awesome “Kooky Cookie” cake! And it tasted great too! This picture is just too good.
Reed had a good time too. Nate and I are so very thankful for such beautiful, healthy kids. We can’t believe that Mollie is already 5! She is very kind and we are trying to teach her how to be grateful so she sent out thank you cards this year too! (I am in love with her little handwriting… I want to keep every paper all the time)
