Big Twelve Baseball 2018

May 24-26

We always love this weekend!  This was Reed’s first time to go and he, of course, loved it!  Last year he was almost here and Mamma didn’t want to sit out in the hotness.  I always love to see Nate sit and watch a baseball game.  You can just tell that he really enjoys it and that makes me love it too!

The first day we sat in our normal third base spot, ate dip-n-dots, and enjoyed the hospitality room. 

The second day we ventured upstairs and Mollie actually got a foul ball!  She was so excited, and we were shocked.

And…. both days we scored awesome free parking.  It was a great weekend!

Big Twelve Baseball 2016

May 25-29, 2016

We always look forward to this.  I was especially looking forward to it this year, because it was our first vacation days away from work.  It is so important to step away for a minute to catch your breath.  We had a lot of fun and watched a lot of baseball!

Day 1:  We were glad Mom and Dad got to come watch with us.  We went to the morning session, where Mollie enjoyed the slide and learning to spit sunflower seed shells.  Then walked to Bass Pro and looked around for a while.  And went back for the night session, where we Tommy, Crystal and Henry met us.  Good times for sure!

Day 2:  We got to watch a couple games with three of our youth guys.  Mollie enjoyed some more sliding, and met a new friend under the score board.

Already looking forward to next year….

Big Twelve Baseball Tournament 2015 and Rogers Vacation

May 22-26

We love going to the baseball tournament every year.  Most of the time it is in OKC and we can stay at home.  This year, it was moved to Tulsa so we got to go enjoy some new senery.  We were lucky to get a nice room in downtown Tulsa and walk to the ball park.  Mollie had a blast riding on Nate’s shoulders and of course, my Nate was too excited to be there to watch his favorite sport.

Mollie had her first taste of cotton candy… she’s a fan.  They also had a neat little play place in the outfield so she got to enjoy some sliding.  It was a great night.

We always have fun in hotels too….

The next morning started with smiley face pancakes at ihop and on to Rogers, AR for Bethany’s wedding.  We went a day early to enjoy some extra time together.  Mollie loved swimming in the pool.  We did some shopping…. Went to the U of A to see my name on the sidewalk… Met Jason and Julie for some cupcakes…. And Brian and Gina for dinner… Then of course, we built-a-bear!

 

 

Nate did an awesome job at Bethany’s wedding and it was really great to be able to catch up with some of the greatest people we know.  Our time in Rogers will always be special to us and we still deeply love all our people there.  It’s comforting to know they will always be there for us.

 

And, then it is always wonderful to go back home.  We will never take that for granted.
