Christmas 2018

Christmas!  It's the best time of the year!  We had a great time going from this to that, and getting some time off work.  Mollie had a bunch of parties to go to.... but that's a different post.We started out going to church with Grandma and Papa, as always.  It was great to go back to Union Hill for our once-a-year trip.  Then we went over to Brian and Kim's big new house for lunch and presents.  We all get spoiled over there.  Nana gave me a special ring, that was once Willodean's and Mom and Dad gave Nate and I a Traeger grill!  Nate was super excited about that!  We all took turns holding little Teddy and Reed even took a nap on my shoulder.... I was not sad about the cuddles.

Christmas Eve:  Mollie got to open her one present.... a game, which we all promptly played.  And, then she sprinkled some reindeer food on the yard.

Christmas:  Watching Mollie and Reed open their stockings is my favorite thing.  I don't know why.... just is.  She was took cute with her reindeer antlers and sleepy eyes.  When Reed finally woke up he enjoyed opening his presents too... with a lot of help from sister.
Papa came and ate some lunch with us, as Grandma stayed to look after Grandma Betty.  It was a stressful time for us in that way.

The next day, we enjoyed some lights and fun!

And soon after we got all the McConathy's together for some lunch.  The girls went on a scavenger hunt that ended with the Christmas story.

Thanksgiving 2018

Thanksgiving was definitely different for us this year, not going down to Texas.  We were missing Mamaw and Papaw something awful and there was a definitely a silent mourning happening.

We were able to spend Thanksgiving at my parents house for the first time since we were married.  It was goooood food and great time with family.  Reed especially enjoyed the mashed potatoes.
The next day we were able to be with Grandmama and Granddaddy... and even took a little hay ride.  We were a little itchy and sneezy, but nobody complained.

Mollie's Magical 6th Birthday

Cannot believe our sweet girl is 6!  The years are flying and we are so proud to be her parents.  She is definitely strong-willed and some day that will serve her well…. I don’t enjoy it much when we’re getting ready for school every day, but that’s just because we both don’t do mornings.

This year… she decided on a magical unicorn birthday party.  It was a fun time with family and friends.  Even Baby Teddy came to celebrate Mollie Girl.

Grandma made her a cake again… with a cool checked design inside.  And also, cake pops and cookies.  It was all delicious!  Reed and Walter especially enjoyed shoving whole cake pops in their mouths.
