Reed’s Baby Shower

I have the sweetest friends… and a very giving church family.  We were given a great shower for Baby Reed.  Melissa really out did herself planning this one.  It was baseball themed and oh so cute!  We got so many nice things and now feel even more ready to welcome our sweet boy to the world.
Hostesses:  Amanda Tolentino, LeeAnne Burford, Jennifer Bales, Melissa Tennyson, Hollie Fuller, Tonya Morris, Shannon Olson, Cherie McCarty, Lauren Wendt.  Not pictured:  Kerri Nelson and Kara Beane.


Details:  Everyone signed in on a board and guessed “Reed’s Stats”, then enjoyed hotdogs, nachos, popcorn, peanuts, sunflower seeds, fruit, cracker jacks, cake pops, and the cutest cake ever.

Guests:  A lot of people from church came.  Grandma and Cassie and Chelsie represented my family.  Grandmama and Granddaddy and Aunt Kristen were there.  And, my good friends Katie Smith and Kristin Hall came too.

Presents:  We got so many great things!  Our nursery glider, transition car seat, bassinet, clothes, diapers, swaddle blankets, a quilt and Christmas stocking from Grandma, and more.

So grateful!

Family & Close Friends Shower

On October 26, 2012, I had a great family and close friends shower.  It was so sweet of my sister-in-laws, Kim and Crystal, and my great friend Katie to throw it for me.  I wanted to have a separate shower for family so all of our Texas people didn’t have to come to the church one.  It ended up none of them could come, but this was the last possible weekend to have it.  It turned out great anyway and it was great to feel all the love and support.

Baby Showerin’ It Up

I am so blessed to have such great friends and such a giving church family.  Man, did we get showered…  I was so excited to finally get some baby stuff!

Nate and I have been very frugal throughout this whole pregnancy.  I always pictured myself buying cute little girl things as soon as I found out I was pregnant.  That, my friends, was just a thought.  We found out very quickly how we were going to have to save the moolah, so we hadn’t bought anything.  Like nothing.  I was telling everyone that I would feel so much better if I had a carseat and a bottle. ha.  Welp… got those things now and it’s awesome!

These great friends really threw us the cutest shower in history.  Everything was so precious… and purple!

The decorations were just super cute.  The food had a “Ready to Pop” theme.  Everything was popping ;)  We enjoyed some popcorn, poppyseed muffins, cake pops, fruit pops, and soda pop.

We played a cute little game where I had to guess how Nate answered a few questions.  We did pretty good.  I would say 90% or so…. I know my husband’s brain. 

And then it was on to the gifts. I am glad that I made had Nate with me to open all the presents. I was exhausted by just opening the cards. ha

It was a great Sunday afternoon, and I am just so grateful for all the goodies.  Mollie has a ton of clothes now, so I’m hoping for a ton of diapers at the next shower.

I was glad to have my mom and nana come too!  I totally forgot to take a picture with them, so that stinks, but we are having a family shower this Saturday and I won’t forget again.
