It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
It is always fun having a new baby to show off at Christmas… and Reed was such a trooper with all the traveling.
For our first Christmas celebration we went to Grandmama and Granddaddy’s. It was a more chill get-together because the Qualls were all sick. Mollie enjoyed playing with a giant puzzle and opening her bag to find rolls of coin.
Next, our plans got kind of thrown off… Mollie got the flu. She was so sad to miss the last week of school before Christmas break and especially the Class Christmas Party. She also ended up missing my family get-together.
We all missed her and Nate… But Reed and I went ahead and had fun with all the nephews. First, we all went to church together at Union Hill. Then we went back to Grandma and Papa’s for lunch and presents!
And when we got home, Mollie felt well enough to open her presents… of course. She was pretty excited about her Belle jewelry box, new pink coat and barbies!
She recovered from the flu pretty fast, just in time for us to go down to Texas to see Mamaw and the rest of the McConathy’s. We were in Mamaw’s nursing home this year… probably a little too loud, but it was fun for sure! Kyle led everyone in a bunch of Christmas carols and Mollie and Reed were very spoiled with more fun presents. And, as always, Mollie loved swimming in the hotel pool with Daddy.
And, on Christmas Eve, our sweeties looked too cute!
On Christmas day, we had some fun at home. We started out with Christmas pancakes. Then opened some sweet and thoughtful gifts… including a pink guitar, a bed tent, teethers, a bracelet with Mollie’s sweet handwriting on it, and a Darth Vader blanket. Then Papa came to eat lunch with us and we played the day away… all in our awesome fam jams!
