Christmas 2015

First, we celebrated at Grandmamma’s and Granddaddy’s house with a very windy hayride, the Christmas story, presents, and fun with cousins.  This was also the day Kristen and Landon told us they were expecting baby #3!

Next, we stayed the night at Grandma and Papa’s house, and went to church with them the next morning.  Grandma always loves to have all her kids and grandkids at church with her on Christmas.  Mollie was a little sleepy but really enjoyed seeing her best friend, Hope, at Union Hill!

Then, after lunch we got to open more presents and play with more cousins (and their new puppy)!

Then for Christmas, we were home, just the three of us!  It was a perfect morning opening presents and playing.  We also made a rainbow birthday cake for Jesus!

And, last…. We went down to Texas to Mamaw and Papaw’s.  It was a little different this year, with Papaw recuperating from knee surgery in the nursing home.  But, the whole family got to celebrate with him there and then go on to their house.  It was also a lot of fun to give Mamaw the new TV Nate worked so hard to get.  She loved it!

We love Christmas!  And we love Christmas lights!  Had such a fun time… seeing Rudolf, posing for pictures, and riding the train!

Santa Picture ~ 2015

It’s always an experience to get her picture done with Santa.  She is so excited about it…. until we get up there for the picture.  We were so surprised she sat with him this year and we didn’t have to be in it…. We weren’t too picky about the smile (because immediately after they snapped this shot, she started to scream).  Santa said next year she will really like him.

Chuck-E-Cheese

Nate and I had the whole week off for Christmas this year.  And, man was that awesome!  We got to relax and enjoy our time together.  We took Mollie to Chuck-E-Cheese one afternoon, and she had the best time!  I foresee a ton of trips there in our future.

Funny little story… notice the Band-Aid on the ear…. Sweet girl has an obsession with Band-Aids.  So naturally when her ear hurt, from having an ear infection, she needed a Band-Aid on it.  And she wouldn’t let us take it off for weeks.  When we went back to the doctor to make sure the infection was gone, the receptionist told her a story about how her little boy didn’t take a Band-Aid off for a long time and he ended up getting ringworm underneath.  Yikes.  She was brave and took it off by herself after that.  And she still talks about the “boy with a worm in his Band-Aid” all the time.
